FAQ

SECTION 1: GENERAL TRACK QUESTIONS

What is the Olympic International Motorsports Park?

The Olympic International Motorsports Park (OIMP) is a multi-use motorsports facility built to bring safe, permanent, and legal racing back to the North Olympic Peninsula. Constructed with recycled materials, OIMP is more than a track — it's a community hub designed for everything from family go-karting to open track days and drift events.

Where is the track located?

OIMP is located in Clallam County, positioned to serve the entire North Olympic Peninsula community. We are currently completing our land development packages and county planning paperwork.

How is the park working to stay eco-friendly?

Sustainability is built into everything we do. We plan to operate an on-site tire and glass recycling center to process waste generated by our events — shredding drift tires into premium rubber mulch and recycling local glass into specialized construction sand. Our track walls are built from interlocking concrete Eco-Blocks, and we use crushed glass beneath our concrete paddock for drainage.

What is the relationship between the OMA, OIMP, and UZ Mafia?

All three groups operate as one unified team:

  • OIMP (The Facility): The physical motorsports park — track layout and permanent infrastructure.
  • OMA (Site Operations): The management group overseeing daily scheduling, weekday car clubs, evening family go-karts, community crowdfunding, and volunteer crews.
  • UZ Mafia Backwoods Drifters (The Home Team): Our premier local drift organization, anchoring the weekend schedule with open drift days and major spectator events.

Why are you running a community crowdfunding campaign?

The North Olympic Peninsula has been without a safe, permanent, legal racing home since the Port Angeles Speedway closed in 2011. We’re not waiting for corporate funding — we’re building this together. Every contribution goes directly toward county permits, legal setup, and physical track infrastructure. This facility belongs to Clallam County.

SECTION 2: INVESTOR & FINANCIAL QUESTIONS

Where does my money actually go?

Every dollar goes directly into our official business bank account at First Federal in Sequim — fully transparent and locally held. No one can spend more than $1,000 without two owners signing off. Funds are used exclusively for county permits, blueprints, engineering fees, and physical track infrastructure.

What happens to my investment if the county denies the permit?

Your money is completely protected. If Clallam County denies our permit for any reason, 100% of your investment sits safely in escrow and is refunded directly back to you — no questions asked, no risk to you.

Is this a legitimate registered business?

Yes. OIMP operates through Olympic International Motorsports Park LLC, a formally registered business entity. We are structured for transparency, with dual-signature financial controls and a clear separation between the facility (OIMP), operations (OMA), and our anchor tenant (UZ Mafia Backwoods Drifters).

What are the revenue streams once the track is open?

OIMP is designed with multiple income streams from day one:

  • Track Day & Event Fees: Open track days, drift events, test & tune sessions, and go-kart nights.
  • Annual Sponsorships: Fence banners, wall placements, and naming rights for local and regional businesses.
  • Driver Memberships: Prepay bundles and OMA membership programs for regular drivers.
  • Recycling Operations: On-site tire-to-mulch and glass-to-sand processing generates ongoing revenue while reducing waste.
  • Car Shows & Community Events: Ticketed spectator events and vendor fees.

What is the timeline for the project?

Our immediate 30-day goal is to raise the upfront cash needed for county permits, blueprints, and engineering fees. Once permits are secured, we move into land acquisition via a 12-month Option to Purchase, followed by track construction and a phased facility launch. The recycling center launches in Phase 2 once the track is operational.

Who is running this project and what is their background?

OIMP is led by a hands-on local team with deep roots in the Clallam County motorsports community. Our leadership includes a Business Manager, Co-Business Manager, Head of Track Development, OMA Manager, and a dedicated Spokesperson. We also have the backing of the UZ Mafia Backwoods Drifters — an established local drift organization with an active, proven event track record.

Can I invest more than the listed sponsorship tiers?

Absolutely. If you’re exploring a major partnership or private investment in OIMP’s future, we want to have that conversation. Reach out directly and we’ll walk you through what a larger stake in this project looks like.

SECTION 3: EVENTS & TRACK QUESTIONS

What kinds of events will you host?

Planned events include family go-kart nights, car shows, test & tune days, open track days, and weekend drift events anchored by the UZ Mafia Backwoods Drifters.

Can I bring my family?

Absolutely — family is at the heart of what we’re building. OIMP is designed to be a welcoming community gathering place for everyone in Clallam County.

How do I sign up for a track day?

Track day registration will open once the facility is operational. Contact us to get on our early notification list and be the first to know when spots open up.
